"Art is thoughtful workmanship."
W.R. Lethaby, 1913

So long as the system of competition in the production and exchange of the means of life goes on, the degradation of the arts will go on; and if that system is to last for ever, then art is doomed, and will surely die; that is to say, civilization will die. - W.Morris

Introducing our newest writer in our developing "Young Writers and Artist Series" Isabel "Izzy" Jungclaus. Izzy is currently a journalism student and member of the Model UN where she participates in mock committee sessions following parliamentary procedures. We think Izzy has the potential to be an excellent future writer and her first manuscript recently caught our attention. We'll be working with Izzy over the coming year to help foster and develop her talent and who knows, perhaps a first novel for 2011! Her preferred genre is fantasy / Science Fiction. We'll be updating our readers on Izzy's progress throughout the year.

Check out a sample of Izzy's current work: IZZY'S WORK.

What else is new for 2010?

Three books are being discussed for 2010. For now, it looks like another book in our Optimistic America Series (Frederick Douglass) and another inspirational title called "My World, My Choice". I can't give away too much about that one because we're still trying to reel that one in! Of course, anything we can do with Linda Biggs will be a real bonus and word has it, she's ready to push the edge even more. Stay tuned!
